I did the second reading and feel as though the author gave really important details about college. She gave tips useful before even getting to college and useful tips for when your actually at college. The tips she gave about what to bring and what to expect before going to college were useful because she made a list. The list included the things she thought were useful and why she thought they were useful. Then she gave tips on why you shouldn't lie on your roommate selection. Which related to me, and the others around me I am sure. That process is critical. There is a possibility that you will be stuck w someone that you don't get along with. So help yourself out and don't lie. Also she gave a few pointers on how to make friends when your all ready at college such as with food, having your door open, and having board games people can play to get to know one another. Only thing I would strongly disagree with is when she stated that you should have a video game buddy even if your gpa drops, that it'll be worth it. In my opinion, it is not worth it. You need to surround yourself with people on the path to success just like you. If your not on that path then don't bring others down. I suggest getting your work done first then socializing later.
